SHARED COLLECTIONS - SHARED STORIES

Artifacts have a story to tell, and those stories are best when shared. With this in mind, archaeologists, curators, and other professionals must listen to descendant groups and the public about when it is appropriate to make collections open and accessible. We can all learn from the diverse stories these special objects represent.

This year, Florida Archaeology Month celebrates all the museums and institutions across the State making their collections accessible to the public. Check out the Florida Archaeology Month website to find archaeological collections and exhibits you can visit in your community, in traveling exhibitions, and via online galleries and databases.
